Werewolves of New York: Eli (Werewolves of... Book 2) by Faleena Hopkins Review!

Hi!

So I was looking to find a good Werewolf story and I stumbled onto the first book in this world since the books are stand alone technically. Which is Werewolves of New York: Nathaniel. I LOVE it. So it only made sense to read this second book.

This was a very well written book, fast paced and easy to read. The characters are hilarious and fun to read about. Especially this werewolf Eli. He is amazing and I seriously love him!!

The Werewolves have a nice brotherhood to them and you can feel it through the words and how they express themselves which is very nice. And just like in the first book, to me they made the book the awesomeness it is. For the most part they were the ones that kept me turning the -- well Kindle page. This is not so say that the female characters weren't well written 'cause they were.

Michelle from the previous book and Rose from this one are very strong characters in their own way. They both have common sense and a brain in their heads which I love and appreciate.

I really dislike books where the female is blinded by how hot their "lover" is that their common sense is flush down the toilet. In these books I didn't have to worry about them.

The way these books were written helped me connect to each character even Dontae. At first in the first book I really didn't feel anything for him, but in this I started to appreciate him and I started to see a little more of his personality which got me interested in reading his book.

So yes in short I will read the rest of the books. This was a very relax read with lots of humor and great characters to read about. The voice/tone of the jokes were really well splashed through out the book. Things that I could actually find myself saying also, which made me connect to the story even more.

I will admit this tho, I think that the author should have added  a little more time with the Werewolves in wolf form 'cause I really wanted to see a little more of that and admittedly there really was much of it. Which was disappointing. This fact goes for the first book as well.

But yes, I recommend this book and the first one as well. I'm sure you will enjoy the personalities of these Werewolves as I did! It's a must read.
